What are the early symptoms of uremia? Uremia is a series of the comprehensive manifestation of renal failure, and has a serious harm to patients. But the symptom is not obvious in the early stage and is easy to be ignored. Experts say that the morbidity is extremely high and number of uremia patients is increasing by hundreds in per million every year. So the early symptoms of uremia must be paid attention to so as to discover and treat it early to avoid the harm.
Early signs of uremia:
1. Sleepy and fatigue may be one of the earliest symptoms, which, however, is very easy to be neglected for there are so many reasons causing sleepy and fatigue. We have treated many patients who are successful in their career, and most of them attribute their sleepy and fatigue to the tension of their work. It was ignored when they got better after rest.
2. Yellowing complexion. It is caused by anemia and cannot be observed for its progress is so slow. So the patients cannot find the distinguished contrast in a short period, which is similar to that people can not see the changes developing slowly if they stay together every day.
3. Edema. It is a symptom which is relatively easy to be observed. The excessive water cannot be filtered by the kidney and stay in the space among the tissues. It is found through study that edema just appears in the eyelids and ankle at the early stage, but will disappear after a rest. When it develops into persistent or general edema, the disease is almost very severe.
4. Changes of urine volume. Some patients will, along with the disease progressing, have less urine due to the decline of renal filtrating function. Experts found that even if patients have normal urine volume, to some extent, the urine volume can not indicate the actual status of renal function, because the toxin excreted with the urine decreases and the excessive waste can not be passed out of the body. Patients with uremia caused by chronic renal failure cannot be cured for most of the renal nephrons have been damaged and is irreversible, while those with uremia caused by acute renal failure can recover through positive and effective treatment.
In a word, as long as we are on the alert on the early symptoms and have an examination in the hospital, uremia is probably to be cured.
