Purpura Nephritis refers to the renal damage caused by Anaphylactoid Purpura. The pathogen may be allergic reaction by the infection of bacteria, virus, parasite, etc or allergic phenomenon caused by some medicine, or food. In addition, Lupus Nephritis may also be caused by the stimulation from plant dust, bugbite or cold. Besides skin purpura, joint swelling and pain, bellyache, hematochezia, the clinical manifestations are also blood urine and proteinuria, which often happen one month after the skin purpura. For some patients, skin purpura and bellyache happen at the same time, and for another, there is just abnormal urine without any symptoms. If patients lost excessive protein, they may suffer from nephrotic syndrome. If blood urine and proteinuria exist for a long time, renal failure may take place at the same time and at last, chronic renal failure may occur. 20%-100% of the patients with Anaphylactoid Purpura may suffer renal failure and usually males are more than female.
The pathological mechanism of Anaphylactoid Purpura is general small vascular impairment, the clinical manifestation of which is skin purpura, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, arthritis, and renal damage. Among people with Anaphylactoid Purpura,1/3 of them can have renal impairment. If renal impairment takes place, the prognosis of Anaphylactoid Purpura is up to how the kidney is damaged and how the pathological change is. So the renal damage caused by Anaphylactoid Purpura is also called Purpura Nephritis. Purpura Nephritis is a diagnosis name. besides it, there is also Purpura Nephropathy, Renal Purpura, Purpura Kidney Damage, Purpura Kidney Disease, Purpura Glomerulonepgritis, etc.
