Nursing management of Hypertensive Nephropathy is very important in daily life. The patient should strengthen ‘self-management’ in daily life. The following are some points to be noticed.
1. Stick to long time regular treatment and health care. Keep the blood pressure near to normal level in order to prevent further damage to the kidney and other organs.
2. Test blood pressure regularly. At least one time in one to two weeks.
3. If conditions permit, the patient can provide sphygmomanometer for himself and learn to test blood pressure by himself.
4. Take pressure-lowering medicine regularly. Do not reduce or withdraw medicine casually. Regulate medicine according to the disease condition and follow the doctor’s advice so as to prevent the bounce of the pressure.
5. Don’t be overhasty in lowering the blood pressure for the aged. The blood pressure should be controlled between 140-159mmhg so as to avoid the complications of heart and vascular disease.
6. Alternate work with rest, keep in good and mood and have sufficient sleeping.
7. Maintain unobstructed defecating. Take bulk laxatives if necessary.
8. Take proper exercise. It is more appropriate if the exercise will not cause palpitation and obvious fast pulse.
9. Control and regulate diet. Reduce the intake of sodium salt and animal fat and avoid smoking and alcohol.
Apart from nursing management, proper treatment is very important. Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital use Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy to treat kidney disease. It is especially effective in treating Hypertensive Nephropathy, because it can expand blood vessels and improve blood circulation. The blood pressure will be naturally lowered.
