The Application of Blood Purification Before and After Stem Cell Transplant

1. For patients with Renal Insufficiency and Creatinine lower than 300, the doctors can strengthen sympathetic treatment while giving treatment of Micro-Chinese Medicine. Stem Cell Transplant can be used directly.

2. Patients with indications of Immunoadsorption should undergo one course of Immunoadsorption before Stem Cell Transplant.

3. Patients whose serum creatinine is 300-703 umol/l have to undergo a series of Immunoadsorption (3-5 times) with interval of 2-3 days. If the illness condition is not good enough, the patients have to undergo CRRT for 1-2 times. When it is suitable to receive Stem Cell Transplant, the doctor in charge should inform the Stem Cell Transplant Centre and carry out the treatment in 24 hours.

4. Patients with Uremia and the creatinine over 707umol/l but has never undergone blood purification should receive inducing dialysis and then maintaining dialysis to try to lower the creatinine to about 300umol/l. If it cannot be achieved, the patients can try CRRT for 1-3 times with 3-5 times Immunoadsorption added before Stem Cell Transplant.

5. Patients on regular hemodialysis:

①Have sufficient hemodialysis 3-5 times/week.

②Add one course of Immunoadsorption according to the disease condition.

③If the condition is not satisfied, give treatment of CRRT 1-3 times so as to lower the creatinine to about 300umol/l before Stem Cell Transplant.
