Shijiazhuang Kidney Disease Hospital currently covers an area of about 10 acres. Areas of structure is about 48,000 ㎡. Among this, inpatient departments take about 28,000㎡, with the rest belonging to the administrative offices. There are 909 beds available for the patients and 880 contracted employees which include 86 certificated doctors who are professional in western medicine, 99 certificated doctors who are expertized in traditional Chinese medicine and 49 who are skilled at both.

We are running 32 inpatient units, aimed to back up the separate sections in successfully curing nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, renal failure, uremia, diabetic nephropathy, renal cyst, purpura of kidney, nephrotuberculosis, kidney neoplasm and ect. These sections contain nearly all of the renal diseases.

Our hospital possesses a large blood purification centre. 36 dialysis machines and 3 superfilters are operated by 47 medical care personnel. Blood purification techniques, like conducting the hemodialysis together with hemoperfusion, are well-applied in daily utilization. All these machines are imported directly from the German Fresenius Medical Care.

Now, the clinical laboratory has 16 laboratorians. They can commit almost all kinds of renal tests and clinical check-up. With the sophisticated equipments, we are leading in 9 national projects in renal fibrosis. It is a nationally initiative program that we do the detection of matrix Metallo proteinases to measure the degree of renal fibrosis. We also rank front nationally in detecting cellular activity factors which can show the cellular damage and recovery. All the detections provide a reliable data base for the following treatment. Together, the doctors can use traditional Chinese medicine in accordance with the figures or statistics. Finally we win the praise of our counterparts.

The hospital has set up a 19-people service unit to tail after the effects and situations of the recovered patients. They regularly keep in contract to get the feedback and instruct them to take medicine. Through these measures, we make sure all patients are totally back to health.

There are 33 members in the Training Department in charge of training doctors and nurses and giving renal knowledge speeches to relative people. Every year, our doctors and nurses have an opportunity to the training. Thanks to this regulation, we can keep improving ourselves.
